Georgia Inactive Real Estate License Renewal
If you fail to renew your Georgia real estate license on time, it will become inactive.
Keep in mind that you will not be able to engage in any real estate sales or brokerage activity with an inactive license.
Note: You will be able to renew your license for up to five years after its expiration date. Your reinstatement requirements may vary based on how late you make your application:
|Amount of Time After Deadline||Reinstatement Requirements|
|One year or less||Submit Lawful Presence Verification via email (at email@example.com), in-person, or by mail|
Satisfy CE requirements
Your real estate license was active prior to renewal date
|Two years or less||Complete Reinstatement Application|
Satisfy CE Requirements (to reinstate your license as active)
|Between two and five years||Complete pre-license course within one year of reinstatement application|
Pass relevant state qualifying exam
If more than five years pass since your expiration date, your license will become terminated. This means you will no longer be able to renew it and will need to reapply in order to get your Georgia real estate.
