You will need to complete the following CE requirements in order to renew your real estate license in Hawaii.

Hawaii Active Real Estate License Renewal

You will need 20 hours of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) approved CE courses, including three hours of each of the following subjects:

  • Core Part B – Ditch the “Mis” in Misrepresentation

Regardless of whether you are an agent or a broker, you will need to complete the remaining hours of CE by taking elective courses. These can be general real estate courses, or courses that fall within the following categories:

  • Advocating for Short Sale Clients
  • Document Diligence: Safeguarding Your Transactions
  • Keeping it Honest: Understanding Real Estate and Mortgage Fraud

Hawaii Inactive Real Estate License Renewal

In Hawaii, an inactive status is allowed for up to five years.

Keep in mind that you will not be able to engage in any real estate sales or brokerage activity with an inactive license.

Your reinstatement requirements will vary based on how overdue the renewal is:
